Imran Khan
Imran is the Founder & Chairman of the Investment Committee of Proem, the firm he founded in 2018. Imran is also the co-founder, controlling owner, and CEO of Verishop. Prior to this, he was the Chief Strategy Officer at Snap Inc., where he was responsible for revenue, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, strategy and human resources since 2015. Under his leadership, Snap’s annual revenue run rate increased to $1.6 billion from zero in less than four years. Prior to his time at Snap Inc., Imran served as Head of Global Internet Investment Banking at Credit Suisse where he advised on more than $45 billion in Internet M&A and financing transactions, from 2011 to 2015. Prior to Credit Suisse, Imran served as the Head of Global Internet Equity Research at JP Morgan, where he was ranked a top Internet analyst by several institutional surveys, from 2004 to 2011. Imran holds a B.S.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Denver.
Tom Schmidt
Tom is the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for managing Proem's investment process as well as overseeing key global strategic business activities. Prior to Proem, Tom was the Head of Global Research for J.P. Morgan and a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee. He had responsibility for research in all asset classes across Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities and Economics as well as all macro analysis and strategies. During his 27 year career at J.P. Morgan, Mr Schmidt also led the Global Equity Research team as well as Equity Sales, Trading and Marketing teams in North America. Tom holds a BA from Hobart College and an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business.
Neil Casey
Neil is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for compliance, legal, and regulatory functions. Before joining Proem, Neil was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Sorin Capital Management, LLC from 2007 to 2011 and from 2015 to 2020. He was also previously a partner at White and Williams LLP from 2011 to 2015 and a partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP from 2001 to 2007. Neil holds a BA in Economics, with distinction, from Stanford University and a JD from UCLA School of Law, where he graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.

Greg Pearson
Greg is the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for accounting, finance, analytics, and trading operations. Before joining Proem, Greg was the Chief Financial Officer at Marble Ridge Capital since 2019. Prior to Marble Ridge Greg was the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Alder Hill Management from 2014 to 2019, and prior to that, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Gracie Asset Management from 2000 to 2014. Before joining Gracie, Greg was a Manager within the financial services group at BDO. Greg holds a BS in Accounting from Georgetown University and is a CPA.
Anya Ngo
Anya is a Founding Member, Director, and Investment Analyst and is responsible for leading Proem’s research efforts as well as other corporate functions across the organization. Prior to Proem, Anya served on the strategy team at Snap Inc., where she was involved with various financing activities, company acquisitions, executive- mandated projects, and long-term strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Snap Inc. in 2015, Anya was a member of the Tradable Credit Business Development and Investor Relations team at Ares Management from 2013 to 2015. Prior to this, Anya was an analyst in the Technology Investment Banking group at Credit Suisse from 2011 to 2013. She holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
